…about me and my work…
I share my creative expression between the fields of architecture and studio furniture. It is through my work as an architect that I have become aware of the influences that affect the process and outcome of creating an object. In architecture, the approach to realizing an idea is always a curious chemistry, a purposeful and temperamental composition of personalities, circumstances, and ideas. For me, this chemistry is a dynamic source of inspiration that manifests itself in the final object.
The awareness of these influences has helped me focus my work as a studio furniture maker. This focus is directed towards exploring and expressing the transcendental aspects of personal experiences. I use the imaginative mystery surrounding these experiences to create expressive pieces of furniture that embody both the process involved in creating them and their source of inspiration.
